Michael James Mackey
MBChB (Otago), Dip Obst & Gynae,
FRACS Urology.
Michael completed his MBChB in 1987, before going on to practice and complete his further studies.
He now has more than 20+ years surgical experience, including six years in public hospitals in New Zealand and in the UK.
He returned to New Zealand in 1998, and has been operating full time in private practice in Auckland since then. As well as being passionate about his profession and his patients, Michael also has a range of other interests that keep him occupied. He is married, and has three young energetic sons.
Michael is passionate about state of the art technology and using minimally invasive surgical techniques to allow patients faster recovery time, less surgical complication rates and an overall positive surgical experience for his patients than compared with open procedures.
He still manages to make some time for his sporting activities, which include running, mountain biking, boating and paddleboarding.

Medical Secretary
Kirstie has worked as a medical secretary for many years and brings a number of skills to the team. Kirstie is a welcoming face at the front desk and on the end of the phone.

Practice Nurse
Kate has over 20 years of nursing experience across a number of specialities. She has been working with Mike since 2021 and has a passion of efficient and effective patient care. Kate is available to assist with our in-rooms procedures, any medical enquiries you may have, and can arrange any surgical bookings.
